JDS ACTOR’S STUDIO CELEBRATES SECOND YEAR OF BRINGING TEMECULA
VALLEY’S TALENT TO HOLLYWOOD
Studio’s “Night of Mystery” Plays to be Held on May 19, 2012 and May 20, 2012
TEMECULA, CA (April 27, 2012) – To celebrate its second successful year of business, JDS Actors Studio is presenting Three One-Act mystery-based plays that are FREE to attend.
The Studio opens its doors at 7:00 pm on Saturday, May19th for the 7:30 performance and at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 20th for the 2:30 pm performance. JDS Actors Studio is located at 40935 County Center Drive, Suite G, in Temecula. Complimentary food and beverages will be served. Everyone is welcome but RSVP’s are required here

These are the fourth set of plays offered by the Studio during the past two years. Each presentation has been a successful performance, enjoyed by actors and audiences alike.
“This is great theater and a really fun time,” said producer Diane Strand. “There isn’t anywhere else in this area where the public can see professional actors performing their craft, and enjoy
some delicious refreshments, all for free.”
“This is true ‘black box’ theater, where it’s not about the sets or the costumes. It’s all about the acting talent,” said acting teacher and the plays’ director Scott Strand. “These plays help us with our Studio’s goal – which is to involve the community by offering enjoyable theater, and providing a safe, comfortable space for actors to learn and perform.” The Studio also invited two high school students to earn community service credit by stage-managing the plays.
Over the past two years, JDS Actors Studio has assisted over thirty-five actors in obtaining Hollywood agent representation, and many of them are now appearing in television, film, and commercials.
JDS Actors Studio student David Perez will appear on an upcoming iCarly episode. Student Frances Bagette was featured on TNT’s season premier of Southland and feels that the coaching she received gave her the confidence and skills needed to book the role. “There are many acting studios, but the difference I have experienced with Scott and Diane is that they take personal interest in me and my career,” said Bagette. “I’ve grown so much as an actress under their coaching and have gained two friends in the process.”
Another student, Corinne Massiah, age eight, had a co-starring role on CSI NY. Student Taylor Pidgeon, age seven, daughter of Corky Pidgeon from Silver Spoons, filmed a national JC Penney commercial that aired during the Oscars broadcast, and eleven-year-old Sam Alder co-starred in two pilots for the Disney Channel. Several other students have landed independent film roles, while other JDS Studio actors are making an impact with local television commercials, internet commercials, and web series.
Six of the Studio’s actors were cast in Bad Gorilla Films’ independent feature Endemic. “We were amazed by the talent of the actors we auditioned at JDS Actors Studio, we are very excited and thankful to have met a great group of dedicated, creative and talented industry professionals,” said Producer Jon M. McDonnell.
JDS Actors Studio offers Industry workshops that have Hollywood’s top professionals at the studio, such as Casting Directors Gerald I Wolff, Mark Teschner from ABC’s General Hospital and Pamela Staton, along with an acting intensive workshop by Producer/Actor G. Anthony Joseph, not to mention the top LA Agents who attend their Industry showcases. Next up is Director James Fargo (The Enforcer, Every Which Way But Loose, Beverly Hills 90210, Hunter) who will be teaching a workshop May 5th and May 6th.
The Studio’s open enrollment scene study acting classes are a great place to learn the craft of acting, build self-confidence, and gain leadership skills. These classes cater to all levels and all ages. Classes include Toddler Theatrics for four and five-year-olds, six to nine-year-old and ten to twelve-year-old Youth Acting Classes, Teen Acting Classes for thirteen to eighteen-year-olds, and an Adult Acting Class. In addition the studio continues to offer their core workshops which include Industry Showcases, Acting for the Camera, Commercial workshops, and Public Speaking Classes. JDS Actors Studio also offers private training.

Dear Clients and Friends,
We are happy to report that 2012 is starting off with a bang, and we are excited to welcome in new clients, Optiforms and Modern Puppies. We’re alsocontinuing to collaborate with Palomar College’s grant funded program Gear Up, where we document the Road to College Success for their new cohort of 6th and 7th graders in both Escondido and San Marcos. See our Success Video from Palomar College’s Upward Bound program produced summer 2011 View Here where we followed these students for 4 years. In addition, we are creating new In-Service product videos for long time client BREG, Inc. It keeps us busy, but we are enjoying every minute.
In addition, JDS Video & Media Productions, Inc is a member of Southwest California Economic Development Corporation, where Diane Strand has the pleasure to serve as an elected Director of the Board, as well as, the Marketing Chair for the marketing committee. Diane is also an elected Director on the Board for the Southwest Community Development Organization (SCDO). JDS, Inc. created a video to launch their newest program View Here the H.I.G.H.E.R Certificate Program. This program helps new job seekers get hired. Community Involvement
Diane is also a member of the Education Committee for the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce, a member for the past two years for the Woman in Business Committee for the Temecula Chamber of Commerce, and a committee member for the Technology Group for Southwest California Economic Development Corporation. Diane also likes to mentor the emerging youth in the community and on February 24th she will be speaking at Creekside High School in Murrieta for their Career fair where she hopes to inspire the young people in attendance on Video Production and all the facets in the Entertainment Industry.

As well as, he keeps very busy teaching the core of the acting classes at JDS Actors Studio, which is continuing to grow and flourish. JDS Actors Studio’s Talent Land Top Representation and Book Major Roles
TEMECULA, CA (February 6, 2012) – In the past two years that Temecula-based JDS Actors Studio has been open, they have assisted over twenty-five actors in obtaining Hollywood agent representation, and many of them are now appearing in television, film, and commercials.
The Studio coaches actors of all ages, with a large group of them being under the age of eighteen. Their popular Industry Workshops have impressed agents such as Jana Luker, Nancy Chaidez, Direct Talent’s JoAnn Jerrell, as well as casting directors Gerald Wolff , Pamela Staton, Lorna Johnson, and Mark Teschner of ABC’s General Hospital and Past President of the Casting Society of America (CSA). Additionally, several students have signed with JLA Talent, CESD Talent Agency, and The Savage Agency due to the connections made at the Industry Showcases and Workshops.

Anthony Joseph, Producer and President of Tritan-Northstar Entertainment, is a special guest workshop instructor and has also attended the Industry Showcases. “JDS Actors Studio is a rock ‘em, sock ‘em place to work out as an actor and a great place for any producer or casting director to source talent,” said Joseph.

We show them how to prepare for a career in this industry from the basics of writing a resume, to obtaining great headshots, to creating a demo reel. We also teach them the fine art of how to network with Industry Professionals.”

JDS Actors Studio holds Holiday Open House on December 17, 2011
TEMECULA (November 28, 2011) – JDS Actors Studio is celebrating a successful second year of business with an open house on December 17th from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. The Studio is located at 40935 County Center Drive, Suite G, in Temecula. The public is invited to visit the space, meet the Studio’s owners Scott and Diane Strand, and enjoy three one-act holiday plays performed by current students. There is no cost to attend the open house but an RSVP at jdsactorsstudio.com is required by December 15th. New clients who sign up for classes during the Open House will receive a 10% discount.
